Hi all, here comes a long one about one of my favorite events every year, the Robin Jacobs City Meet.  Please consider attending and swimming if possible.  We expect a large contingent of our folks and it is a great intro for a league finals environment.

Where:  Bolton City Park Pool, 1590 Bolton Street, WSNC 27103

When:  June 20th.  The morning session is for 10 and unders, the warmup is at 8am and the meet starts at 9:30 am.  The afternoon session is for 11 and ups, the warmups are at 1pm and the start is at 2:30pm.  The deadline for registrations is June 9th.

Who:  EVERYONE.  One of my favorite things about the meet is seeing our parents participate, whether it is in individual events or in relays, family or otherwise.  

How:  To enter, you still declare your availability on the green button next to the city meet on the schedule.  If you are an adult swimmer, we will likely have to add you to swimtopia first as a 19 & over member.  It is no problem.  Just let Jeremy know.  When you enter, please select which events you would like to participate in.

Price:  There is an $8.50 fee per swimmer plus $6.50 per individual event.  Our team will pay for all relays.  After registering for the event, you can pay for it via our team merchandise store on swimtopia under the splash fees and entry fee items.  City Meet also offers a t-shirt for pre-sale that is available in our merch store.  It will feature the names of each competing team on the back.

Theme:  There is also a theme competition. This year's theme is the movie CARS.  People dress up in the theme and decorate our team tents with the theme as well.

Scoring:  There are both individual and team points winners.  I would love to really show out this year!  There are super cool fancy medals too for the 1st-3rd place finishes and ribbons for 4th-8th place!

Other stuff:  When not in an event, the rest of the pool is open for swimming.  If you have siblings that need to be entertained during that time, make it a pool day!
