Backpack Project
Beginning in 2024, the New Sherwood social chairs wanted to find another way to give back to our immediate community. Partnering with Novant Health and the YMCA's New Beginnings, a backpack project was a natural fit! Stingray families have donated hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies and cards created by our very own swimmers to be delivered to the YMCA and distributed among needy families in our community.
This has been a high point for our summer social calendar since its inception, as we have paired it with an ice cream social! Please consider contributing and enjoying our ice cream bar!
