End of Season Awards Recap

Hey everyone, my last wordy email of the season!  First THANK YOU to all of you, the parents.  Without your buy-in to our crazy schedule and volunteering at the meets because otherwise, this absolutely would not work.  I love summer swim, working with the kids, seeing the improvements in ability and confidence, and am always so impressed with what they do.  But if the parents don't buy in, this doesn't happen.  THANK YOU.

I have attached in this email 2 PDFs:  One is a summary of our awards that we handed out last night. The other is a list of the silver caps earned by the swimmers for either swimming in all 6 GFSL league dual meets or 5 meets plus our intrasquad relays.  All awards and the caps, along with ribbons and their athlete report cards, can be picked up at a later date.  If you see me at the pool, I'm happy to get them out of our swim cabinet.  Otherwise, if you give me a solid time you will be at the pool, I can have your stuff left in the guard hut to pick up.

Lastly, a huge shout-out to our coaches.  They tremendously care about this team and our kids.  Coaches Emma, Lucy, and Catherine will not be returning next season (unless I can somehow talk them into it).  They will be greatly missed, but not forgotten, and always welcomed back.  Thank you to all who contributed to gifts for them that they received last evening, but I'm sure they would also welcome any kind words you would like to throw their way.

For next season, I will notify you all as soon as the finals date is locked down and when we receive our final schedule.  Please plan accordingly after you receive them!  I would expect a finals date in the next couple months and the league schedule by January, at the latest.  Also, expect to receive notices on registering for next year's pool season, starting some time in February.

Again, THANK YOU for all of the support this season, the kind cards we received last night, and all of the kind words we have been blessed with for the past 2 months.  We love this and hope your families do too!

Thanks and see you around the pool.

Go Stingrays!
