Hi everyone, it was wonderful to get more in the swing of things with time trials yesterday in time to gear up for our first meet at Brookberry on Tuesday evening.  Please declare your availability (either way!) by 6PM tonight by using the green meet entry button next to the Brookberry meet on our schedule.  Any changes that need to be made after 6PM tonight should be texted to Jeremy at 336-416-2496.

Additionally, we have secured Stoked as our post-meet dinner location.  Since Brookberry has 8 lanes, we will hopefully be able to get through the meet at a slightly better time, so join us if you can!

Practice schedule change

For THIS WEEK ONLY, we will have an adjusted afternoon practice schedule.  6 and unders swim from 5:00-5:30, 7-8s from 5:30-6:00, 9-10s from 6:00-6:30, and 11 and ups from 6:30-7:15.  Ideally this will alleviate some of the crowding until WSFCS dismisses school for the year.  Also remember that we will only have afternoon practices on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week due to the Brookberry meet.  The morning practice schedule will continue unchanged.

Swimmers of the Week

Once again, our coaches would like to highlight some of our swimmers from this past week.

Caroline Strathman

Coach Emma says:  I chose Caroline because she’s always wanting to do more, whether it be swimming up in practice or volunteering to help with lane ropes!

Catherine Suter

Coach Lucy says:  Despite really not wanting to, Catherine bravely swam the backstroke at Time Trials.

Clayton Fadley

Coach Catherine says:  Clayton always listens, tries super hard, and wants to swim extra. He has a great attitude.

Molly Lynch

Coach William says:  Molly always works hard in practice and listens well to the coaches.

Molly Forrest

Coach Ben says:  Molly did very well at Time Trials and persevered by competing her event even though she had started crying and stopped halfway.

Hazel El-Beshti

Coach Claire says:  Hazel is very dedicated and always ready to swim!
