Time Trials and Happy Memorial Day Weekend
Happy Memorial Day Weekend to everyone! Step back from your Maycember and enjoy the pool which is now open normal hours.
Next Saturday June 1st, we will have our time trials. This is for our 10 and under swimmers to help establish seeding times for our first meet on June 4th, as well as getting everyone, including volunteers, into the swing of a meet. Please enter your swimmers into the time trials by clicking on the green "meet entry" button on the time trials entry of the calendar.
We will also be having a pancake breakfast the morning of the time trials. Even if your kids are 11 and up, come by and cheer on the younger folks and enjoy some pancakes! We will also have the buddy list available at that time, so I would encourage the big buddies to help acclimate the little buddies to swim team, if possible. From our wonderful social chairs: “We would love to have all swimmers and family join us for a pancake breakfast after time trials on June 1st. We will have fresh made pancakes and toppings for everyone to enjoy!”
Morning practices will begin Tuesday, May 28th. The age group times for morning practices are as follows: 7-10 y/o from 9:00-9:45, 6 and unders from 9:45-10:15, and 11 and ups from 10:00-11:00. There will also be a fun friday morning practice. Afternoon practices also resume at their normal times on Tuesday through Thursday next week. If you can make the morning practices, that is always preferable.
Reminder: You can (and should!) declare your availability now for each of the meets on the corresponding meet entry buttons associated with each meet. If plans change, it is much easier to go back to that meet and change your entry status at that time. This prevents us from having to hunt you down the day before each meet and finding out if your kids are swimming.
City Meet this year is on June 21st and we will soon have more info available. Please consider swimming at this Friday all-day meet (with a morning/afternoon age split) at Bolton Pool. It is a lot of fun and a good preview of the league finals environment. If you are an adult swimmer, you can and should enter too! There is an open age group, as well as the ability to swim in relays with your friends and family. This year's meet is Toy Story-themed.
Have a great relaxing weekend with your friends and family and I'm sure we'll see you around the pool.
Go Stingrays!
