TOMORROW we will face Clemmons West in our first AWAY MEET of the season!!

• 4:30 PM Stingray Zone volunteers arrive for set up
• 4:45 PM Swimmers arrive
• 5:15 PM New Sherwood Warmup
• 5:20 PM Timers/Officials Meeting
• 5:30 PM Meet Start

HEAT SHEET - The Heat Sheet and Meet Entries will be posted as soon as they are available. Team entries are completed and merged to create the meet after 11:30 AM on meet day. A link to the Heat Sheet will be available on the website Home page, website Signup Calendar page and on the SwimTopia App. An alert notification will be sent once available.

VOLUNTEER SIGNUP - A few vacancies remain. The Job Signup will remain open until midnight tonight. If you haven’t already signed up, please see how you can help.

PARKING - You should plan to park across the street from the pool in the large Hayward Industries parking lot. Starting around 4:50, there should be a sheriff directing traffic to make sure everyone gets safely across Middlebrook Road. If you arrive prior to his arrival, please use extra caution crossing this street with your children.

ARRIVAL - SZ volunteers should plan to arrive by 4:30 PM to assist set up of our SZ and clerk of course tents. All others should plan to arrive by 4:45 PM to get set up, mark events, etc... If you need help, please seek a big buddy or SZ volunteer. We recommend you complete EHL body marking prior to arrival to save time. Once entries are posted tomorrow, you will be able to see a snapshot of your swimmer’s event from the website (under June 6 Meet on Signup Calendar Page or under Upcoming Events on Home page) or on the SwimTopia app. Please mark EHL grid clearly using a Sharpie marker right side up (as they see it!) on your swimmer's arm or leg AND write first initial last name and their age group on the back of their right shoulder.

DECK - Spectators can gather on visitor (street) side of Clemmons West deck or in the gated baby pool area (use of baby pool is PROHIBITED during the meet). You will want to bring deck chairs.

STINGRAY ZONE - SZ will be located in a field next to the pool with assigned tent areas marked for age groups. It will be VERY important to instruct your 10&U swimmers to remain in the SZ with their assigned parent volunteer so they can easily be found when their next events come around. They’ll be assisted to Clerk of Course benches and lined up there for events. Junior coaches can assist them during breaks in their event schedule for bathroom trips. We have plenty of games to keep them busy and they’ll be in and out of SZ for each of their events.

11 & OVER SWIMMERS - Congratulations, SZ graduates, you now have the freedom to roam during the meet. These swimmers have free reign of the pool deck and surrounding areas. The trade off… the BIG responsibility of keeping track of meet progression and lining themselves up for their own events. Optional check in with coaches before events. 11&Over swimmers need to take this responsibility seriously, we DO NOT want to be chasing them down before their events and no one likes to see an empty spot in a lane that should be filled!

ORDER OF EVENTS - This season the 6U backstroke events have officially been moved to the early half of the meet and will be swum following the completion of the 15-18 50 yd Freestyle event (#24) and prior to the start of 7-8 25 yd Butterfly event. This change was adopted by the league for good reason: 1) it allows 6U swimmers to finish their meet sooner and 2) it reduces crowding on the deck.

CONCESSIONS - Clemmons West concessions will be CASH ONLY. They will be selling Chick-fil-A sandwiches for $7, and combo sandwich/chips/drink for $10. There will also be drinks, chips, candy and Slush Puppies for sale. Our Stingray Bucks are only used for home meet concessions.

MISC CW FACILITY RULES -

• The pool is closed to all except for competing swimmers.
• The baby pool is also CLOSED for use during the meet. Please monitor your own children.
• Swimmers are not permitted to play in the sand on the playground or on the volleyball courts and then jump in the pool.

POST MEET DINNER - We know it’s a school night but, if able, join us for a post meet team gathering at Dairio’s of Clemmons following the meet for ice cream and/or dinner.
