7/11 LEAGUE FINALS - Final details!

July 10th

Nine weeks ago, we opened our 2022 season with Pup Camp... TOMORROW we will close it with League Finals!  Here's a snapshot schedule of the day:

  • 6U Session 8 AM Warmups / 8:30-9:20 AM Session
  • 7-10 Session 8 AM Warmups / 9:30 AM - 1 PM Session
  • 11&O Session 1:15 PM Warmups / 2:30-5:35 PM Session


SO, here's the first thing ALL need to know... JOIN APPROPRIATE REMIND GROUP/S for your swimmer/s session/s NOW! 

  • 10 & Under - text @littlesgac to 81010
  • 11 & Over - text @bigsgac to 81010


The second thing AM swimmer parents need to know... ALL AM session participants (6U and 7-10s) and Volunteers will meet OUTSIDE of the Greensboro Aquatic Center @ 7:30 AM.  Lanyards will be handed out to Volunteers.  Swimmers will be escorted in TOGETHER as a team through the locker rooms by older swimmers/assistant coaches to our team area on deck (no adults are permitted in the locker rooms).  

The parent/grandparent/sitter who will be taking your swimmer tomorrow needs to join the appropriate Remind group. If this is not a parent, please let us know who it is so that we know who to get in touch with if necessary. 11&Over swimmers and parents should join the 11&O Remind group. 

AND, the third thing AM swimmer parents need to know... Our 7:30 AM gathering spot outside is a set of stairs to the building's main entrance.  See image:

Remember, the GAC (1921 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27403) is ~40 min away, PLEASE plan your departure accordingly. Plan to allow an extra 5-10 minutes for parking and to get through the parking booth (parking is FREE). AM swimmers need to arrive by 7:30 at the outdoor stairs. PM swimmers need to arrive by 12:45 to the team area ON DECK via locker rooms. IF your swimmer is arriving late, you must must MUST let us know via  text to Colleen @336-575-2978.

Once your swimmer is finished with their events, he/she is free to leave. Remind texts will be used to communicate to waiting parents/sitters to arrange escort and pick up of 10U swimmers off deck to the hallway concourse. 

LEAGUE FINALS VOLUNTEERS
ONLY volunteers with an official lanyard will be permitted on deck during sessions.  All others must sit in stands to spectate.  WE ARE STILL NEED A FEW MORE AM VOLUNTEERS, INCLUDING TEAM PARENTS, LANE MONITORS AND COC WALKERS.

AM VOLUNTEERS 

  • ALL AM volunteers will meet @ 7:30 AM outside at the designated stairs to receive lanyards for deck access.
  • 2nd half timers will receive a "switch lanyard" which will allow them access to the deck prior to their exchange.
  • The COC Volunteer meeting will be at 8 AM in the COC area along the far side wall. 
  • The timers meeting will be at 8:10 AM in the concourse hallway outside of the Hospitality room.
  • Stroke & Turn Judges Meeting will be in the Hospitality room @ 8:10 AM.

PM VOLUNTEERS

  • PM volunteer timers can text Colleen when they arrive to arrange meet up in hallway concourse to receive your timer lanyard. 2nd half timers will receive a "switch lanyard" which will allow them access to the deck prior to their exchange.
  • The timers meeting will be at 2 PM in the concourse hallway outside of the Hospitality room.
  • Stroke & Turn Judges Meeting will be in the Hospitality room at 2 PM.

SwimTopia will not be running live event bar but the meet can be found on Meet Mobile app - this is not free.
