MEET #4: New Sherwood @ Chadwyck

Our first AWAY meet is tomorrow night Tues, June 21, vs the Chadwyck Flyers! After opening our season with three home meets, we're excited to be traveling tomorrow as the visiting team. Veteran Stingrays will recognize Chadwyck's head coach as our very own longtime Stingray and 2019 Golden Speedo Award winner Jacob Wuwert - be sure to give him a high 5, fist bump or some Stingray love!!

Below is the Meet timeline and some meet specific information sent to us from Chadwyck:

• 4:45-5 PM Chadwyck Warmup
• 5-5:15 PM New Sherwood Warmup
• 5:10 PM Timer/Officials Meeting
• 5:30 PM Meet Start

The pool address is: 4305 Chadwyck Dr, Winston Salem, NC 27103.

*ARRIVAL: Plan to arrive around 4:40 PM - please do NOT arrive earlier than 4:30 as the pool staff will be shutting down the pool and escorting members out to prepare for meet.  SZ volunteers should arrive between 4:30-4:40 PM.  Volunteer Timers, Data Entry and Officials by 5 PM. 

*PARKING: Unfortunately Chadwyck has very limited parking. CARPOOLING IS RECOMMENDED WHERE POSSIBLE. Cars can park along the streets in the Chadwyck neighborhood as well as along Poindexter Road. Homeowners on Poindexter Road have requested people do not park on their grass and have threatened to have cars towed. We also would like to make sure the entrance to the neighborhood is still accessible for residents and not narrowed to only allow one car to pass at once.

*DECK: Our team area will be to the right when you enter the pool area (closer to the shallow end) and Chadwyck will be on the left side. NO ONE should be in the pool’s shallow end during the meet for safety. Parents may bring chairs and canopies but should not block the shallow end for timers and judges. There is additional seating just outside the pool fence on the grassy hill parallel to the shallow end.

*STINGRAY ZONE & CLERK OF COURSE: We will have SZ and Clerk of Course set up as usual. Canopy tents will be set up @ 4:30 awaiting your arrival. Not certain of the location just yet. 10&Us should check in and find their SZ tent area when they arrive. We will run our Clerk of Course during the as usual. Swimmers and SZ parents should be well versed in the routine by now with 3 meets under our belt.

*ORDER OF EVENTS: The order of events will be the same as our home meets. 6U backstroke (event #42 & #43) will follow 15-18 Boys 50 Freestyle (event #24) before we begin Butterfly events.

*CONCESSIONS: There will be pizza available for sale as well as Chick-fil-A sandwiches. There will be drinks and snacks/cookies also available for sale. They will accept cards and cash (prefer exact change) payment for concessions. The Kona Ice truck will also be in the parking lot throughout the meet.

*SWIMTOPIA: Heat sheets will be published and live results enabled. Notification will be sent once Heat Sheets are released. Meet officials and data entry table will not handle parent concerns or questions during the meet. All inquiries/concerns should be brought to the teams’ league reps.

*MISC: Timer/Stroke judge meeting will be at 5:10 by the scorer’s table at the deep end of the pool.
