WELCOME TO THE 2022 NEW SHERWOOD STINGRAYS!!

We will kick off the season this SUNDAY 5/22, 4-7 PM with our annual Kick Off Pool Party & Potluck Dinner (swimming, food and fun!) and follow that with the start of afternoon practices beginning on MONDAY 5/23 for all age groups:

• 5-5:30 PM for 6 yo & under (6U)
• 5:30-6:15 PM for 7-10 yo (7-10)
• 6:15-7:15 PM for 11 yo and older (11O)

New SwimTopia website, communications and SignUp process…

We are transitioning to nearly 100% use of SwimTopia for all aspects of our swim team management. Admin, coaches and steering committee members are on a steep learning curve and so far things are going smoothly. Our WEBSITE is comprehensive and informative, and should be your go to place for all questions/updates.

• We will no longer be sending weekly Mailchimp newsletters but rather putting up a week’s snapshot and daily updates on the HOME page for you to reference.
• You will need to use the “Signup Calendar” page to declare your swimmer’s meet availability (you can edit this as often as you need to up to 48 hrs prior to meet day, all changes past that time, need to be emailed on "Contact Us").
• You will also use this Signup Calendar to volunteer for jobs at meets. Anyone who plans to volunteer (mother, father, stepparents, grandparents, etc) will need to have name/email listed under your account. This will permit the selection of their name for volunteer spots. If you need help to add additional name/contact info to your account, please email Colleen/Christina.

Your “TO-DO” list…

1. Check your SwimTopia account for access. You should already be registered in SwimTopia but please be certain you have activated your account and set a password to login. Your login is your email. Check that you are able to login and be certain you have all parents/grandparents that may volunteer listed in your account with emails (if not, please let us know name/contact for those that should be added).
2. Download the SwimTopia App to your phone (enable notifications) and login with the same user/password. The app shows a personalized view of your family’s meet entries, volunteer signups and swim history. ALL swim team communication will be sent and volunteer job sign ups done through SwimTopia. It is imperative that you have access to receive them.
3. Plan to come to the Kick Off Potluck and Pool Party this Sunday 4-7 PM for all swim team members AND families. The pool will be open for swimming so don’t forget your suits! RSVP and potluck signup on is on the website Signup Calendar. Stingrays LOVE a good potluck - and we need some more yummy main dishes!
4. Order a team suit from the SwimOutlet Team Store (not a requirement but nice for team unity). Our websiteTeam Store has an active link to our SwimOutlet Team Store for you to place a team suit order (Sporti Molecule RED/BLACK, same as last year).
5. STAY TUNED for the Merchandise Team Store, which will be active on the website this weekend for additional apparel items (tanks, dri fit Ts, sweatshirts, magnets). In order to ensure delivery of these items prior to our first meet, we will have it open and active only through next week. Be aware of order deadlines. Reminders will follow.
6. Mark your calendar for our Meet Schedule and know your Practice Schedule. Afternoon practices begin this MONDAY and morning practices begin on June 6! Please prioritize morning practices when possible, since we will have fewer lanes available to us in the afternoon. Team T-shirts and latex swim caps will be handed out at practices once available. Reminder: We encourage daily participation in practices and participation in all swim meets when available. See Practice Policies and Practice Schedule for details.
